Colors

Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.“ Claude Monet

A stunningly beautiful white dress, elegant shoes and a fabulous veil in white. The color white is irreplaceable at weddings. But little harmonious color details within the overall decoration can make the most beautiful day of your lives that much more special. Also they help fill the room with airiness.

There are two exceptionally attractive color constellations which you will soon be able to find at your own wedding.

Color palette black midnight blue gold

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The interesting color combination of black and white, midnight blue, gold and grey ensures you a first class, unusual wedding which will come alive with dreamy hues. Especially lovers of elegantly designed weddings will find this color appealing. Black and white couldn’t be more opposite one another but in combination with other accent colors they can be super extravagant. Golden accents in the dinnerware or velvet ribbon chair decorations in “midnight blue” really pop with black and white.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Color palette Black Darkpink Gold

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The combination of black and white, dark pink and gold also creates a surprising impulses of color.  They draw attention to the small things that round off the wedding scenery perfectly, making the wedding that much more beautiful. Gold and dark pink make a simple, yet stylish link of tones which make a wedding bloom marvelously. That’s why these color are especially suited for a romantic wedding. They bear a certain playfulness which is very versatile.

Velvet and linen are next season’s favorites

Velvet

Love is a velvet prison.“ Neil Strauss

No matter where you look, right now velvet can be found literally everywhere. The fabric’s soft and warm touch cater for an elegant ambience that’s cosy at the same time. The ways to incorporate velvet are endless since it may not only be found as an accent color in pillows. Thin velvet ribbons are especially neat for wrapping the presents for the guest. They may also decorate the wedding stationary. On the topic of stationary: If you wish to add yet another dose of elegance, using flocked paper, also known as velour paper, is a great and effortless way to do so. Velvet pillows in the lounge area give an appealing feel to the room and add a pop of color.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Linnen

Linen fabric is rather cool and organic and because of its high quality haptics it is especially suitable for table decorations. It may serve as a table cloth or table runner or even as napkin material. The fabric harmonizes with practically every style of wedding. Linen is versatile and  can be styled elegantly as well as in a romantic way.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

The flair of 1001 night: Bohemian Glam

The bohemian trend, also known as boho, has been around for a while. With its very natural feel it is still a favorite many brides love. Amongst many other things bohemian style embodies self-realization, unconventionality and creative freedom which  appeals foremostly to romantics and free spirits. The focus is on elements which have an ornate handmade feel to them like macramé, knotted oriental carpets or metal lanterns – inspired by moroccan design and flair. Bohos love a mix of old and new as well as bold, luminous colors, and the more of it the better.

Boho Glam

Boho glam is a new approach to dazzle the style with elegance and glamour without losing the feel of 1001 nights. With natural colors and materials – for example soft velvet or golden accents- you may gift your wedding with a magical diversity and charm your guests. Golden accents on the dishes, wooden tables, stylishly knotted carpets or wooden candle sticks. Choose what fits your taste and how you want to create your elegant, boho-inspired wedding. If you want it extra precious and extravagant you can use velvet ribbons to tie and decorate your hair, flower bouquet or the table runners.

“There’s that sense of sacrifice, there’s that sense of purity, there’s that sense of a burning mission, of giving up things.” Virginia Nicholson

Back to the Roots: Der Botanical – Trend

The 2017 pantone color is the perfect companion for the botanical trend

The 2016 botanical trend has been taken up again by the 2017 pantone color „Greenery“ which is a natural, relaxed and simple trend. Colorful flowers rather take a backseat with this trend, allowing fresh, green leaves to snatch a place in the spotlight. Bouquets look like they have just been picked on a meadow thus having a certain witty wildness to them. Botanical can very well be combined with linen fabric because of its organic and lively character.

This is how you can realize the botanical trend

Even if you are having an urban indoor wedding, you can bring nature to your guests with the help of plants. In addition to that, textiles provide possibilities to enjoy nature. Blankets or throw pillows with palmtree print give variety and can even be incorporated into the stationary. Monstera and palmtree leaves help you create a green luscious oasis. They may also array you wedding cake or table numbers and napkins. Single leaves in a glass also look very elegant in a simple way.

Light fresh plants are dominant in the botanical trend. They can hang on the wall but also on the table in a vase is a good place for them. A way to give a modern feel to exotic plants like ferns, echeverias or tillandsias is to arrange them on a waxed block of wood creating a fancy yet airy center piece. This way tables might be decorated with floral elements in an unconventional way.

If you are looking to create an unforgettable wedding picture, you may want to look into an installation of exotic foliage and plants to adorn the background.

Are you planning your own wedding right now? Which trends are inspiring to you and which is your favorite theme?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
